What's going on at Michael F. Simon Builders? Happy February from Michael F. Simon Builders! We would like to start by saying thanks to everyone who made it to the Madison Home Expo at the Monona Terrace. We were happy to meet everyone who came! As this winter has been very warm, we would like to remind everyone that our doors are open to everybody looking to improve their homes and invest value into their property. We're on Facebook, so you can check out pictures of our past work and refer your friends to us too! As always, have a fun and safe winter, and thank you for reading our newsletter! Best regards,
Past Project: Second Story Addition (Scroll over the pictures below to see the "before" pictures of this project) This month's featured project is a remodel that we recently completed in the northern woods of Wisconsin. This beautiful home sat on the edge of two beautiful lakes near Three Lakes. We did a large amount of work on this house, which included adding a 144 square foot extended sun room to the house. We enlarged the rear entry, and remodeled the kitchen as well as the bathrooms. In addition to that, we knocked out a wall that allows you to look from one side of the house to the other, bringing an open concept in the home. The sun room extension added 144 more square feet to the family's home, which is equivalent to a 12 foot by 12 foot area. We took special care to match the new materials to the existing structure and as a result, you can hardly tell that the extension wasn't there before! The kitchen received a much needed makeover as well! We started by replacing an old entry door with a more efficient steel door and replacing the inefficient windows. We then insulated the wall to make sure the cold air stays out in the winter for years to come. Oak floors were installed and stained to compliment the pine colors on the trim-work in the house. We replaced the dated tile countertops with Quartz countertops and installed all new cabinets to the owner's specs. We also installed brand new stainless steel appliances as well! Notice the beautiful Washington Cherry finish around the base of the island! We completely gutted the bathrooms in the house. We went out with the old and in with the new; specialty glass doors for the shower, new toilet, cabinets, and beautiful tile for the shower and floor. We also installed brand new lights, an exhaust fan and granite countertops for the bathroom. (Scroll over the pictures to see the "before" pictures of this project)

Waunakee Community Foundation: MENTALIST SHOW Michael F. Simon Builders is involved in and promoting The Mentalist Show at the Waunakee High School. The reason we're supporting this community activity is because the Waunakee Community Foundation has again this year been chosen to be one of the benefactors of the event. See our past newsletter article for the story on why we think this is a fantastic charity. This year's show is Sean Bott, the Mentalist. Sean has appeared on the Sci-Fi Channel, the WB, and on-air with radio Disney performing his unique blend of hilarious characters and psychic entertainment. He is neither a hypnotist nor a magician. The show is very entertaining and suitable for entire family. Saturday, February 25, 2012 @ 7:30 P.M. Adults: $15 Students: $10 You can buy your tickets in advance from Phil Simon Waunakee High School Performing Arts Center If you would like to keep an eye on our daily activities, visit our Facebook page. Pictures are usually uploaded daily for one of our projects in progress! We also love to hear your feedback as it helps us to continue to improve and adapt our ways to the needs and desires of our customers. |
