What's going on at Michael F. Simon Builders? Happy October! Do you have a winter project in mind? Did you know that in the construction industry, winter is usually the slowest time of year. That means we can provide additional discounts and special winter rates. We are currently looking to add to our already scheduled winter work load. If you have a project in mind, and like saving money, give us a call. We would love to help you out this winter! We thank you for reading our newsletter! Best regards,
Past Project: Historical Garage Being in business for over 100 years means we have done most every type of construction project out there. Our bread and butter is building and remodeling homes but we have done many other projects. Our vast portfolio includes churches, gas stations, mini-malls, funeral homes, retail stores, and even land development. This month though, we would like to show you a garage. Yes you read that correctly, a garage! Our carpenters remodeled a historical home and later when it came time to remodel the adjacent garage, the homeowner came back to us to do the work. We love repeat clients and jumped at the opportunity to help design a garage to help compliment the historical accents found on the home. We took extreme care to keep everything looking as it originally was. This allowed the home to remain registered with Wisconsin's Historical Society. That was especially important to the homeowners. Below is a picture of the old garage. Place your mouse over the picture to see a picture of the new garage being built. We removed the leaning foundation and poured a new one. It was slightly larger to accommodate the new two car garage. The construction was normal and straight forward as far as building goes. What's special on this garage is all of the details and the materials used. Everything from the siding to the roofing was the same material and color as the existing home. Place your mouse over the picture below to see the new garage compared to the old garage. With all of this talk about matching the existing home, I imagine you'd like to see what I'm talking about. Below is the home after we restored it to it's original condition. Scroll over the picture to see a picture in progress. This was a pretty major remodel/restoration project and we are just as happy as the homeowners with the end result. No matter what type of project is thrown our way, we are excited to bring our vast history and experience to work. If you would like to keep an eye on our daily activities, visit our facebook page. Pictures are usually uploaded daily for one of our projects in progress! We also love to hear your feedback as it helps us to continue to improve and adapt our ways to the needs and desires of our customers. |
